Coral was one of the five successful candidates in her application for the Summer student employment program, she started the 8 week program on July 10th 2017.

Coral has contributed one of her own designs, a thunderbird to the mural, the inspiration for this was the name she was given. Working on the mural has been a very important accomplishment for Coral, as she explains:

“it represents the story of our lands and how important the fish are to the people. It also tells the story of what my grandfather and other chiefs have done to save the fish.”

Coral is inspired by her culture, she is grateful for the opportunity of working on the summer student program because she has been able to learn more about her history, art and language. Coral is very creative, drawing is a specialty, she is also interested and good at math.
