Liz is a Community Health Worker working for the Health Centre since the fall of 2013. Liz draws on previous experience as the Health Director for the DFN and the Social Work Administrator for the Namgis First Nation for many years. Her primary responsibilities as a Dzawada’enuxw First Nation Community Support worker are:
Liz actively raises funds every year to take the elders on an annual trip IE: Elders Conference and she considers one of her most important accomplishment to date is making arrangements to take the Elders and members on a trip into Dzawada’enuxw territory on the NIAID. She invited Mikael Willie and Billie Robertson to officiate and share their knowledge. Everyone enjoyed themselves and learned a lot more about our Territory.
“I like working with all of our Members especially our Elders & Chronic. They keep me busy with all the help they require. I ensure that they know when their appointments are and have all the paper work that is required. I work very closely with all Health professionals in and out of our Village.”
