Emily was one of the five successful candidates in her application for the Summer student employment program, she started the 8 week program on July 10^th 2017.

Emily has been actively participating in working on completing the mural that is being done in Kingcome village that represents Dzawada’enuxw traditional lands and wildlife. The mural also recognises the fight against fish farms that is endangering the natural resources of the community.

Emily’s specialties include math and science, and she is inspired by learning about her culture from her elders.
