Pam was appointed Finance Administrator in 1998, she has worked for the DFN since moving back to Kingcome in 1979.
In her role as Finance Administrator she oversees’s the DFN Finance Office, including the supervision of two clerks.

One of Pam’s greatest accomplishments to date is the updating of how the finance office operated, working in close collaboration & consultation with a number of external accountants, finance moved from a manual accounting system to a computerised one, successfully conquering the challenges of learning all the new software programs required in the changover. The upgrade also included expanding the Finance department in employing two additional staff members, bring the total number working in Finance to three.

Pam considers her specialties to include: paperwork (even though this can be a phenominal undertaking at times), working with the necessary accounting programs and she loves to work with excel.
Pam has an avid interest in studies that have been carried out within the community and collects information that documents the history of the DFN.
Her involvement as a member of the Emergency Management Team is a role she says is very important to her.

“Being Musga’magw Dzawada’enuxw and from Kingcome makes me very proud; having 5 children and 9 grandchildren makes me even more proud.
I look forward to the day when our community can become more self-sufficient, so as not to rely completely on the outside world”.
